My son just saw Mike's pics and asked if we could buy one to bring back to the grandparent's house... do you recall how much they are... I told him they were something like $80 and asked if he would pay
They messed up with my DW's food allergies. They kept bringing her items especially made for her that contained things we told them she would have a severe reaction to. They brought out one special plate for her which my DW started eating, and then 10 minutes later a chef came out and told her to stop eating it, as she shouldn't have been given it and he wasn't sure what was in it.
We got a full refund on the dinner show, and apologies from the Restaurant Manager and the on-duty Poly Manager. The Poly Mgr suggested I contact WDW Guest Services and advise them of what took place. It seemed like reckless disregard to me. Imagine what would have happened with a peanut allergy. We won't be going back. It was our only negative dining experience -- the other 11 nights we had great meals!
So sorry about the Luau and yes that could have been very scary. Thanks goodness she is OK. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us - the view from the Poly was awesome. I just drove home in 8 inches of the fluffy white stuff so it really made my day.
