DVC Mike Live from BWV Mar 5-13

my 1st time in the dis and I LOVE your photo's! I too can not wait to see more of them:)

How are the crowd levels? From the looks of your photos it seems very low crowds.

Mike, thank you so much for the photo's. Seeing blue sky and flowers was just what I needed after a day of another 6 inches of snow.:goodvibes

Great photos! Thanks for sharing. We love the 4 Cheese pizza at Via Napoli (Quatro Formagio?). It is our new favorite lunch.

Love your pictures. Would you recommend the tripod you are using?? I have been looking for a good travel tripod. Please share.

Janis

I use a Manfrotto 055CXPRO3 3-Section Carbon Fiber Tripod with a Really Right Stuff BH-40 (ball head) with a quick-release clamp. It's pricey, but definitly worth it. It doesn't make sense to spend tons of money on a DSLR body and lenses, and then put it on a $100 tripod.

If you're looking for something more affordable, take a look at the Manfrotto 190 series.

Love the people free shots!

I get asked why my photos aren't packed full of people. The answer is easy: I just ask people to step out of the photo as I'm taking it, and my wife assists by holding up yellow Police tape to cordon off the area.

Seriously, it's quiet easy. You just have to get to a park right when it's opening or right when it's closing. As you can tell from the long shadows in the sample shots below (not great photos, but great examples), I prefer to arrive early in the morning before the parks get busy. Others tend to stay late and get great night shots of everything all lit up - but without any people.

If you were to take the same exact photos an hour later, the streets would be packed with people.

And for those of you wishing to see photos with more people in them, below is a shot from Epcot with lots of people.

We love making ADR's for breakfast in MK before the park opens. To be able to walk down Main Street and take pictures of the castle with nobody around is an experience I think everyone should try at least once....just not on the days that I'm there:lmao: As always Mike...awesome pictures!
