Well, we're not from NJ, but we do live in Passaic County (we're NY expats). Have to say though, it really is home to us; we love where we live.

Our other home is SSR (though we haven't stayed at SSR yet; we're staying at VB in July). Maybe we'll make it to SSR in January. We'd like to take our nephew for his first ever WDW trip. I think that's a very worthwhile enterprise!

Guess Doc Hog hasn't made his/her way on to this thread yet. I've seen posts from them recently. They should be on they are going in June!

I just learned how to post pictures so you were able to figure out which one of us this was. I haven't been on the DVC boards in a while, but I may start checking them more often.

How was New Orleans? I haven't been watching all the DIS boards for about the last week so that's why I didn't answer you. I also caught a bit of a head cold this week. I am Jeff S. and there were three Jeff's in my grade. I am in New ****ord for the weekend, just got in about a half-hour ago. It's weird coming home for the first time after moving out.

We're moving to McGuire AFB in a few weeks and we'll be there for a two-year tour, however our legal residence is in FL.

I checked the school calendar for last year, and they got a Thurs, Fri, and Mon, off in November. Is that the "Jersey Week" everyone's always talking about?

We have a rule that anybody who comes down from NJ must bring some B&W HC if they want to visit us. Also required is when somebody makes a trip back north they must bring some back down. DFiL left 4 of them in NC at his stop over last time he came back down. He goes back up next month and this time we'll have a string around his finger and steering wheel.

Ahh, okay! Yes, I know who you are. I hope you have a good time this weekend-perfect weather, IMO anyway, love the heat!
New Orleans was FANTASTIC!! I went with 3 girlfriends, one of whom was a native of N.O.-now living in TX-so we were able to have her show us around.
The areas that were ruined by Katrina-that was so sad, still so awful there, but we saw lots of rebuilding and the French Quarter was alive and kicking.

Yes that is Jersey Week for public schools. For us, my dd and this coming Sept, ds too go to Catholic school and they do not have off those days.

WOW, can't believe this thread has grown to ten pages since I started it. To all those who live in Clifton, I will be eating in Rutts Hutt on June 6 on my way to Yankee Stadium, for the greatest hot dogs in the world. Hello to all. Since there so many of us, we should try and arrange a DIS day at Great Adventure. It is no Disney, but it might be fun. Keep posting.
