DVC Members Room Discount?

I'm still feeling my way around being a DVC member.
I have been reading about cash room reservation discounts and was wanting to know if that only applied to DVC resorts or other WDW resorts?
Also, is there a straight percentage discount or does it vary by time of year and/or resort?
Thanks for the help. I learn something new here every day!

The DVC Member Discount only applies to DVC resorts, and it has to be booked through Member Services. It is 25% off of rack rate, and the discount isn't always available.
