DVC member giftbox delivery update

Disney vacation club member services confirmed that 98% of members have received a surprise gift box.
A first in DVC history, the boxes were delivered to members homes with no notice or explanation.
The gift boxes, delivered Friday August 1st via ups, contained a variety of surprise gifts based on preferences of the member. Past member purchases, search histories from the Disney store website and items purchases using magicbands helped identify the preferences.
Value of each box is between $35 and $800 depending on the number of points a member owns. Items include a dvc member watch, Pens, meal plan upgrades for upcoming trips and a lucky few received limited edition Micky sculptures made specifically for this surprise event.
Disney used the delivery template that successfully delivered first generation iPads in a single day. Fridays delivery of gift boxes to hundreds of thousands of members is seen as a huge success.
The remaining undelivered 2% of boxes belong to members whose address information was not current or who are behind on loan payments or dues.
Members in those categories will receive the giftbox once the issue is resolved.
Every box included a gift card for a bottle of seltzer water from Saratoga springs resort.
