DVC members are everywhere!!!

We were sitting at a big USA swim meet today in Holland, MI and got to talking to the family in front of us and one we established we both loved Disney. I mentioned we were going in two weeks, she asked us if we were DVC members and wouldn't you know it they were too. She said you can always tell because DVC members are the nicest people. We had fun talking about HH their home resort.

We met another DVC/DIS family at Mount Rushmore.

My twin girls were 6 on Saturday, and my aunt and uncle, both Disney freaks, had a "Christmas in July", plus birthday party for my girls and a couple other relatives' birthdays.

It was the first time we'd seen most of the family since our May WDW vacation, our family's first, so the kids were happy telling every detail of the trip to the new audience.

Then Brendan, my son said that Daddy bought the Disney Vacation Club for our next trip next May. My uncles best friend says "We've been DVC members for 2 years now, when did you buy?" After I told him I sent my $$ in this week for a resale, we spent most of the party talking. Good to know there's someone in my home town that doesn't think I'm nuts for going to WDW again "so soon" (like a 10 yr old and twin 6 year olds would say no to another trip there), or that I got ripped off at a timeshare.

We don't immediately bring up that we own the Disney "timeshare", but anyone who know me very well know I am a total Disney nut and we go at least once a year if not more. This year will be three trips for me, one for the whole family and two for my DH.

Fortunately, no one makes snide comments about our frequent trips to see the mouse(at least not to my face).

We do have a old next door neighbors that have owned for at least 12+ years, and boy do I wish I would have bought in when they told us about it. I wish we would have bought during our 1st visit with a guide and that was over 7 years ago. I think I could be just paying my MF only by now.

I was pumping gasoline on my way to work on Cin-Day Rd. when the person next to my car noticed my DVC sticker and mentioned that they were too. We didn't have too much time to chat, but just thinking about our conversation made me smile all the way to work!

Met a nice lady seated behind me at my sons high school graduation last month. I had a DVC cap with me and that introduced us.

We were at dinner a few weeks back at a teppan Japanese restaurant here and the couple next to us were Disney nuts like us. They mentioned that they were considering DVC and we talked about it a bit. Turns out the couple next to them were DVC as well. 3 couples at one table, 2 members and one prospective, and we only live about an hour north of WDW...

I was pumping gasoline on my way to work on Cin-Day Rd. when the person next to my car noticed my DVC sticker and mentioned that they were too. We didn't have too much time to chat, but just thinking about our conversation made me smile all the way to work!

I had a similar experience. I'm driving (live in upstate NY), and see the DVC Logo on some vehicles. It makes me smile every time. Guess i should get me a logo too
