DVC Member Update at Disneyland, January 22nd

Just thought id let everyone know there is a DVC Member Update this coming Sunday, January 22nd at the Grand Californian Hotel in the Sequoia at 6PM.

If I attend the meeting I will let everyone know what was said.

Well I attended the meeting and there was liike 8 people there, haha

They had a good selection of free food, drinks and lots of information about DVC. They had a small presentation about "January is Member Month at the Disneyland Resort, and all the Perks you get when you show your Vacation Club ID card". They were also letting us know that within the next few months there will be more surprises and exciting news for DVC members only. They aslo give away prizes at the end, there was some pretty nice stuff and I ended up getting a DVC Umbrella ( I need one when I go to florida), haha.

They said they will be having "Member Updates" at the Disneyland resort on a weekly Basis for the next little while.

You're kidding me!!! We left DL at 4:00 on Sunday. And, we even walked through the Grand Californian!!! Did they say how they'll announce these updates?

I suspect they will do them the same way as they do the weekly WDW updates. Particular place and time that is the same each week.

From enhanced merchandise, dining and ticket discounts to preferred attraction access, Members will enjoy a variety of special perks in January 2006 as part of Member Month at the Disneyland Resort. Members who check-in at any Disneyland Resort hotel during this special month will receive a coupon booklet packed with special offers.

On January 29 I asked my Disneyland-based DVC guide when the next Member Update would be held at DL. She didn't know when the next one would be scheduled, but didn't think they would be weekly at this point.

Thanks to Disneylandguy22 for posting the information about the prior meeting. I wonder how he found out about the date/time/location. IMHO, the meetings should be on a regular schedule (i.e. 2nd Sunday of each month, or some other schedule) so that DL visitors and So. Cal. DVC owners can make plans to attend. It would be great to have Member Update meetings in So Cal.
