DVC Member Site Question - New Member

so we just closed last thursday (yay!) and are waiting to be loaded into the Disney system for our first ressies (Oct F&W - yes i know super busy. we are flexbile with date, resort, and room so i am hopefuly). anyway. I have the number to MS to call and check to see if we are in the system. other than that - when we will get out member number - how will it arrive? i assume i cannot go onto the DVC member site until i have my number, but when will i get my number and how will i know it is out there? also, what exactly is the DVC member site? everyone talks about it - but what is the web address - dvcmember.com?

The only thing you can do unless it arrives super fast in the mail is to call the MS number you have been given to see if you are in the system yet. When you are then they can help you with your login to the member website.

You can get to the main page for the vacation club at disneyvacationclub.com. The member login can be accessed in the top right hand corner.

Unless things have changed since we joined a while back, you'll get two different thing in the mail. One will be a card with instructions on how to create an account for the DVC web site. (Note, if you already have an account on the WDW web site, follow the instructions to link the two accounts or you won't be able to be logged into both at the same time. It took me a while to get that fixed.)

In a separate mailing, you'll get your membership cards.

There's a special login ID you need before you can sign on, from that you can create your own user id and password.

Once you are fully into the system all you need do is call MS and they'll get the info to you. I remember hubby got his info automatically in the mail when we joined, I had to ask for mine. I cannot remember if they told me over the phone or if I had something mailed to me as well.
