DVC Member Nemo Preview Days

I haven't seen this posted on the boards yet. Did anybody else see on the member website that DVC members get to preview the Seas with Nemo October 13-15th? This was big news to me. Is this old news here? I can't find any mention on the last couple of pages.

Thanks for the info! Does anyone know if you have to be staying on points to do this? Or can you just show your membership card?

Here's what the Member Website says:

Preview Nemo's Undersea Adventure
Be among the first to experience Nemo's Undersea Adventure, the latest edition to Epcot® at the Member preview, October 13-15, 2006. This new ride-through attraction will lead Epcot Guests down under with characters from the Disney/Pixar blockbuster film Finding Nemo.

Each Member who presents his/her Disney Vacation Club Member ID during the event may enjoy this preview with as many as three Guests.

Members should check in outside of The Living Seas pavilion and look for Cast Members in pink and khaki attire to direct them. Admission to Epcot® is required.

Paid Theme Park admission is required for participation in this preview. Nemo's Undersea Adventure may experience some downtime during this preview period, and the attraction is subject to closure without notice.

I interpret this to mean you do not have to be staying at a DVC resort on points to do the preview.

So if you go - let us know what you think!

Very cool. We'll be there. The 15th is DD's birthday, so we'll see if she wants to add that to her wish list. Either way, we'll make sure we get over to see it that weekend.

Does anyone know how many times we can ride it? Is it a one time deal, you use your card once and you are done for the day OR can we go on a few times in one day?

Yeah, we're kind of spoiled in that area. My girls' b-days are 8 days apart, so we get two in during these Oct. trips (our third one!!). I was just reading my trip report from 2002 (checking to see where we had gone with some relatives who are returning this year with us) and it was pretty amazing to read about them when they were just turning 7 and 5. Now they'll be 11 and 9. Time's flying.

They each get a special event and some rides of their choice. This year they're doing the pirate cruise for one birthday and the family tour for the other!

Thanks for posting!! We arrive on Oct.14th. We are both DVC and AP members, so was watching to see if there will be a preview.

Lucky you! We were beyond thrilled last winter when we found out that the Expedition Everest preview was during our trip. Remember to bring picture ID as well as your blue card. At least for the EE preview, it was checked many times on the way to the attraction. We were joking that they would need our passports as well. Have fun!

Rats!!! We leave on the 7th as well. Wonder if they'll be doing any soft openings prior to the preview. Might have to hang around the attraction from time to time to see if anyone gets to go in.

Didn't they give out special lanyards/pins for the EE preview? That would be nice if they did for this attraction as well.
