DVC member has Q about reservation for a renter

Hi,

I called MS with my renter, and added their names to the reservation.

I got a copy of the reservation today, and it lists my name and address at the top, and then their name BUT with my address as the guests....????

I asked MS what info they needed so they would be able to check in, and they only asked for the renter's name.

Is this right? Do I need to also update the reservation for the renter's address.

Sorry I'm confused. This is my first rental, and I don't want to leave my renters in a bad way from ignorance.

The only thing I've found they need is the original ressie with their name(s) on it and then check-in takes the additional info at that time: address, credit card guarantee to room. Hope this helps.

I've rented out several times and MS have left the address off with no problems for the renter at check in.

I'd have ONLY your renter's name on the reservation. MS usually doesn't put their address on the confirmation and it isn't needed, but they should have photo id with them at check-in.

I would have my name removed and ask to have a new confirmation sent- you can then forward the corrected copy to your renter. As the member in control of the reservation, your name does not need to be on the confirmation letter at all.
