DVC member discount for DLR tickets when upgrading?

If we buy 5-day hopper tickets and then decide during the trip to upgrade to AP's, can we still get the DVC discount? Thanks!

I would assume so-we did the same thing at WDW in May. I would just make sure you know what you should be charged per ticket for the upgrade if you bought some type of discounted tickets. You also need to use them once if you have discounted tickets before the upgrade to lock in the current gate price.

Thank you, yes I know they don't generally do that. We did have it happen to us a couple years ago when we bought hopper tickets from Orbitz--buy 4 days get the 5th day free. We upgraded to AP's on our last day and they gave us the full 5-day hopper price toward them. I was shocked (but kept my mouth shut! ;-) ) because I knew that wasn't usually the case. We scored quite the deal because we also had gotten 20% back on the hoppers through Ebates!

I just wanted to make sure I could still get the $20 off the AP's if I got a hopper pass first and then upgraded.

You purchased a 5 day ticket regardless of the pricing scheme that Orbitz used.
