DVC Member Cruise

I was just wondering whether the member cruise offers discounts on the price point of the cruise for members, or whether it is just so popular due to the chance to be with so many other members? Are there any other perks to the member cruise? For those that have done it - did you enjoy it? We have cruised DCL x3 and love it and I am considering another cruise in the future.

The Member Cruise is actually more expensive than a regular DCL cruise because it is a charter. Some of that extra money goes to your tips which are included and the rest goes to the special guests and extras they bring on board.

For example last year we got to hear a talk and see a slide show by Roy Disney! We also got a concert from Jodi Benson (voice of the Little Mermaid) and Jennifer Hudson (former American Idol contestant and recent Oscar winner for Dreamgirls).
