Just wondering what DCL did with the Non-DVC'rs who were already booked on the now titled "DVC Member Cruise" - were they bumped off their ressies or is this cruise going to be a mixed crowd after all? Just curious as to what DCL would do for this DVC chartered cruise. It was listed in the cruise brochure as a date choice for a 4 night for "regular" people (albiet, cheaper). ;)

DCL offered them complimentary upgrades on other DCL cruises. Funded of course by the 25+% DVC member $special$ surcharge.

Actually, since the category 1's on the cruise are not available for booking, perhaps they are taking everyone that was booked and cramming them together into those suites! (Either that or giving them the upgrade of a lifetime!)

I'm curious about that also. I do remember reading that someone on these boards was already booked on that cruise, but they are DVC members.

They might be DVC members but they will still have to pay the increased fee on points compared to what they would have paid.

I noticed in the travel section of our local paper that the 4 day DCL dates didn't include 2-2.....I also thought I read on these boards when the members DVC cruise was announced that non members mentioned that they were not able to book that date. We will be going on the expensive cruise, I'm hoping all DVC members get upgraded.

I'm waiting for an answer - I have been booked on the 2/2/03 since Feb 2002. I am also am a DVC member - Based upon the price of what I've seen, I'm getting (I hope) a great deal. DU is on vacation till Monday, I hope to have an answer by then.

I'm not a DVC member, but I am curious about the 2 days at Castaway Cay. Are they going to cruise around overnight and then go back to CC, or stay docked all night? I ask because I thought the big reason I always heard for not staying 2 days at CC and for leaving before dark was because of a tremendous insect problem after sunset. Have they done something about that?

Ah, thanks. Then that makes sense!
