DVC Massachusetts Support Group

You know, as I was walking around the lake in Wakefield this weekend, I thought to myself it would be fun to try to get a Saturday morning walking group of DIS people started. Anyone interested?

Sounds good. My boys are going to start swimming lessons at the voc in a few weeks in the 9am class.

I would join you in a heartbeat if I lived closer! I used to walk from the playground down toward the rotary and back often when my son was in a stroller (he's 24 now, hehe). You don't really walk all the way around the lake do you? I didn't think the path went all the way.

Yes, you can walk the entire way about the lake now. It's just a bit over 3 miles around.

Oh, very nice! I wish they had done that years ago. One of these weekends I'll have to stop by with the kids and make them walk - I can have them envision the walk being EPCOT for motivation ;)

Yes! I would love that!

Hi from working in Worcester. I live down 395 in Woodstock, but spend most of my waking hours here at Worcester State University. (They just changed the name!). Can't wait until the weekend of Oct 22 -- it's our long F & W Gluttony weekend.

That sounds like fun! I live a bit too far to go regularly, but I could definitely make it once a month or so. I'm up by Newburyport.

Since I'm in Wilmington, I could definitley do the lake in Wakefield!! Keep me posted!!

OK, so we have a few people interested in walking the lake in Wakefield. Let's come up with a time. I'm a morning person, so I usually start by 7:00 a.m., but I know that my not work for others. So, let's see if we can come up with a time :)

If memory serves me correctly I met your husband before your married days when we had a DIS meet at Jake Ivory's in Boston.

It's been a long time since we've had a big Boston area meet. We've had some small ones here and there, but not a big one.

Some of you may remember the infamous Jerry from our Boston meets. haha.
Jerry??? Who is this 'infamous Jerry' you speak of.
And yes, that would be the dh you are thinking of...I think it was 'craig'??? We had fun that night, didn't we...

Yeah, well..its way too big a hike for me. Have fun walking.

Hello from beautiful central Mass...Westborough to be exact. There are quite a few DVCers in this area, but they don't belong to the DIS. Must get working on that.
My dd just started with a new voice teacher this summer. Turns out she is a huge WDW fan and owns at OKW. Must get her on the boards soon!!!

Westboro-now there's an area of the state I'm familiar with. Dad taught for years in Northboro, and DSD (step-daughter) lives in Marlboro.

Well, that's unusual...not many people know where our little 'burb is!! :wave2:

We live in Douglas, MA and love Disney. The family doesn't understand the habit. ;) We go to Disney 2 times a year and take another vacation to someplace else during the year since our daughter is only 6. But you can ask her where to go for vacation.... Disney - Our happy place.

We would love to meet our families in MA/RI/CT area who understand the habit.

:thumbsup2 Wow, small world. I live in Douglas. :) You probably drive by my house on a daily basis if you travel on Route 16 daily. I've lived in town just about my entire life. My youngest is 6 in the first grade and my oldest DD is a sophmore.

Boxford Ma here, BLT owners going for the first time in November

What a beautiful time of year to be going. It's bound to be a great trip!

On a MA note: Can't wait for these Governor election ads to be over. The games they're playing seem nastier than ever. I thought we were supposed to be the good example for the rest of the country. Oh ok, I've been cooped up too long :rotfl:

Going through DVC withdrawl here... it's been a whole 3 months since our last trip and I'm craving the warmth and sunshine of Florida. I need my DVC fix. Oh how will I ever survive until next summer?

10 year difference between kiddos? I think I have you beat: my oldest is a Senior in college and youngest is 11 years his junior: a 7th grader in middle school. Feeling old now...

Wow that is quite the age gap. Mine are 9 years apart. The oldest will turn 16 in February and the youngest will turn 7 in January. They love to remind me how old I am all the time. :lmao:

I will be glad when the elections are over. I dislike negative ad campaigning.
