DVC Massachusetts Support Group

Are there any DVC Members from Massachusetts that know of any support group for members who LOVE Disney and like to get together with other people who like to talk all about Disney, plan their next trips and just to share in a common interest? My husband and I don't have anybody to really share our joy with in between trips!

Boy, I wish we still lived in Massachusetts-Worcester, forty years! No one down here has even heard of DVC, and not too many have visited WDW.

Hi....we live in Rhode Island....not far from South Attleboro actually. My husband and I have owned DVC since 9/07 (home resort is SSR). We'd love to chat! We love all things Disney and love to share our enthusiasm with other's who also love Disney.

I feel you, I'm about a half hour west of you and my husband grew up in Fitchburg and I grew up in Gardner maybe we know each other. I just purchased my first DVC contract and no body but me cared "oh thats nice is all I got . We are close enough to get together and keep in touch if you like. PM me if you want to talk sales on Disney merchandise or what we are planning for trips and what not. It would be nice to have some one that gets it.

I know how you feel. We bought DVC on our trip back in 2008. My family was like "why would did you do that?". For the amount of times we have visited WDW we felt it was financially better for us in the long run.

We have a trip planned for February and are taking some friends with us.

I've been to Fitchburg but only to go to Coco Key Water Resort.

If memory serves me correctly I met your husband before your married days when we had a DIS meet at Jake Ivory's in Boston.

It's been a long time since we've had a big Boston area meet. We've had some small ones here and there, but not a big one.

Some of you may remember the infamous Jerry from our Boston meets. haha.

We are Disney fanatics and DVC members who live in Agawam. We just returned from 10 days of awesome summer heat at our home away from home. We live right near (5 minute walk) Six Flags.

I know a couple in Ashburnham that are DVC members, but they don't do this internet stuff. They are visiting us next weekend and I'll bring the DIS up to them, but I tried in the past.

Is it gone? I didn't know that. I only went there once. There is a Howl at the Moon opening on high street tonight.

I think we may have realized this before, but I grew up in Medford. Lived there until about 4 years ago, when I moved to Wakefield.

Jake Ivory's is gone?? Part of my bachelorette party was there. (I've been married for 12 years) Yikes. Guess I don't get in to Boston much these days.

DH is from Medford.

I would love to hang out with some fellow DVC/Disney nuts, as none of our friends "get it" and think we are crazy for going to Disney as much as we do. We are in northeastern MA, near the NH seacoast.

So my best friend and I decided to go into town to do something different. This was probably about a year or so ago, so we decided on Jake Ivory's, imagine our surprise when we discovered it wasn't there anymore

DH was in Cambridge last night for a wake. He said a lot has changed in the Lechmere area. We're about 40 miles north of Boston now, so we don't get in as much as we'd like. I'm a BU alum, so I love the city and wish we were able to visit there more.

Still can't believe Jake Ivory's is gone... gosh was that a fun night!

I live in Wakefield!!! Originally from Winchester - moved to Wakefield when I married. DH originally from Medford and moved to Wakefield as a child.

If I remember correctly there are a lot of DVC members from Wakefield.

lol, I remember Lechmere stores! (that just made me think of it)

Yeah, sadly Jake Ivorys has been gone for sometime now. It was a great place but the Lyons brothers (who basically own all of Storrow Dr) wanted a change of pace for that place.
