DVC Mail Order Catalog...

Hi gang! I know this has been mentioned here before but I can't get the search thingy to find any threads that mention the DVC Mail Order email address. I know it's listed in the Portable Perks booklet that we receive when we check in. I was hoping someone might know it.

I found my Portable Perks booklet. It's on page #20 of the Portable Perks for April - June 2007. The booklet says that DVC items can be purchased at DVC Resort gift shops and through mail order by sending an email message to WDW Mail Order or by calling (407) 363-6200.

That number / email is for the general Merchandise Mail Order unit that Disney has operated for years. It's nice that DVC is encouraging people to use that to purchase items, but my experiences with them have been a bit spotty.

Basically you really need to know what you want going in. If you can tell them "I want to buy a navy blue DVC windbreaker that I saw in the gift shop at Saratoga Springs", they will absolutely be able to help you. They can search for the SKU in their computer, or even call over to the resort gift shop to get the info from a CM working there if needed. Chances are you'll get exactly what you are looking for.

On the other hand, if you're just blindly looking for an item (i.e. "can you tell me what sort of BoardWalk baseball caps you have available?") you're at their mercy. They don't have a catalog to send, so you'll be making your purchase decision on whatever item description they can provide over the phone or in an email.

At least that's been my experience in the past. If you do contact them, let us know how it goes.

Thanks for sharing. It sounds like nothing has changed since I made some inquiries 2 or 3 years ago--you really need to know what you want in advance rather than trying to window shop from home.

When TWDC sold off the Disney Stores and started running DisneyShopping.com, I really hoped they would start stocking theme park merchandise. They must think that the potential revenue from home shoppers isn't worth actively marketing WDW and DL stuff outside of the parks.
