DVC letter to add 50 points

I am sure everyone received a letter from DVC recently about adding 50 points at VWL. Well, I got the letter, read it over and gleefully thought that it sounded good with the lower interest rate and all. So I called our guide and he explained that the interest rate quoted in the letter (8.95 i think) is only for those financing for a year. Otherwise, the rate is 11.95..............way to go to get me to run out and buy some more points DVC!!!!!!!!
