DVC is mostly booked September 21-24th

September 21-24 No two bedrooms availible at BCV, BWV, VWL just OKW(which has rooms of all sizes availble)
No One bedrooms at BCV for 21-24 and
no stuidos at BCV for the 21st and 23rd

We are wait listed at BC, BW and VL for a two bedroom..... Booked a one bedroom at BWV, but really hoping for a 2 bedroom at BCV.

Just thought I would give ya a heads up, if there are any last minute planners out there!

Anyone know when DVC releases DVC rooms to CRO? I am wondering if the FTP took a lot of rooms....

I'm going 9/20-9/23, and I got the very last 1 bedrm standard in BWV. I'm also very shocked that everything is booked. No studio in BWV or BCV. OKW is wait list when I called.

Guess Sept is no longer slow months.

Diane..... We love OKW and have been there many times. But for this trip, we are not going to any parks..... just hanging out at the resort, so we thought we would take the girls to a all new resort, this time around.

Sooooo even though we could have gotten a 2 bedroom at OKW we opted to take the one bedroom at BWV and wait list for a two bedroom.

We are there from Sept 20-27. We booked a long time ago and got a GV at OKW. We have 10 going and a GV is the only way to go for us.

Wow! And I was hoping for a slow time with everyone back to school. I wonder what has changed. We'll be there from Sept. 21-27 with a party of 8. We have a 2-bedroom and a studio at VWL. Can't Wait!

First of all, I'm sorry to hear that you were not able to book the accomodations you want and I hope the waitlist comes through for you.

That said, I have to admit that I'm chuckling to myself over all the comments about September being a "slow time". It is a slow time for the parks. But that doesn't mean that people aren't booking on site rooms (both DVC and non-DVC) rooms more than 60 days in advance. (I can still remember when you had to book more than a year in advance if you wanted to stay amywhere on site and there was often nothing at all available if you waited until 6 months ahead of time).

No one should be surprised that there aren't DVC rooms still available for September in the middle of August. In fact, I'm surprised that there are still all sizes available at OKW. September 1 is only 2 weeks away!

If the DVC resorts aren't at, or nearly at capacity all year round, some members will end up losing points. I believe that most DVC members (note that I didn't say all members), book much farther ahead than 60 days.

Also, keep in mind that at the 60 day mark, available point inventory is made available to the general public to rent for cash.

Just wanted to add, we are thrilled to have gotten a one bedroom. That will be more than enough for us, and the point savings is a nice perk too! We dont let little things like this put a hiccup in our plans. Just gotta work around them. That's all.

LOL, Laurabearz. There are lots of DVC members who either don't have children at all or whose kids are grown and no longer in school. We love to go when school is in session! Have a great trip -
