DVC is booked for next Thursday Jan 6

We decided yesterday to drive all the way on Thursday and arrive around midnight instead of stopping in Lake City or Gainesville for the night for our marathon trip. Called DVC and checked on getting a studio at OKW. None available for the one night. Asked about one bedroom. None available. Asked about SSR. Got a one bedroom for the one night.

Then last night my husband said maybe we should try for BLT or AKV or anything else. We like SSR, but just thought we might try something. So he called this morning and there were no studios or one bedrooms anywhere. We must have gotten the last one yesterday.

I guess then that this year's marathon weekend will be even more crowded than usual.

Yes, it's busy! I booked a studio at SSR for the 5th & 6th a little over a week ago. It was the only option at that time (except a 1BR). I've been trying to get the 7th since then and it's had no studios or 1BR's at all. Availability thru CRO has been pretty slim as well.

I called weeks ago for a studio for later in January and could only get SSR! I've since called MS back just to check and still...nothing but SSR!!! January must be very busy for DVC!
