DVC in December

Studios 98% of the time. We have changed out to AKL, VWL, BWV, BCV, and SSR depending on what we wanted to do that trip. I have never used the WL in over 20 years of DVC. Book right at the 7 month window opening.

Length of stay - 2 to 5 nights

That's probably my downfall. We are usually looking for 7-9 nights. We have to fly, so we try to stay as long as possible. I may try to snag 3-4 nights in an Epcot area resort for this year in December, if I am able to get online right at 7 months.

If you call right away at 7 months first thing in the morning, there is a decent chance you can get a BWV pool/garden room. I've managed to do that one year before I owned at BWV.

BCV would only have one booking category, but BWV would have a larger inventory to begin with. 28th and 29th both fall in the Thanksgiving weekend. That's going to be tough.

I got BCV for Christmas last year at 5 months out. We switched from SSR to there. I didn't waitlist. I just checked every day.

I called member services to book it. I didn't want to screw anything up.

You cannot modify a reservation on line. All you can do is cancel and rebook. Or, if you have enough points, book the second reservation and then cancel the original reservation.

You have to call MS to modify a reservation.

I've been able to get BCV 2 Brs the week before Christmas three times at the 7-month point, including last year. So if you're willing schedule your trip then, you have a chance.

I am going to call everyday for that timeframe and be flexible with dates. Any suggestion on what is the easiest to try for? A studio, one bedroom, or two bedroom?
