We are going to OKW in 25 days (me , DW, and 2 DS).

I get so excited regarding the trip and am hoping it will all go well.

Does anyone get so into the planning that they get concerned that it will not go according to plan. I am an organised person and like things to go well but may get agitated if we are not on Dumbo by 9.03:)

Do I need to chill out?

Being excited about going to Disney is great! I would, however, suggest taking a deep breath and just enjoy your trip. Don't worry about times on your list. I think you will be much happier if you can just go with the flow. Disney is too much fun to put so much pressure on yourself.
Enjoy your vacation!

I too am very organized with our trips. Even after going each year since 1997 I still have a well prepared plan. For me it is half the fun. I do though remember the days when I thought everything had to go on schedule and if we weren't out of Fantasyland by XX' O'clock then everything for the rest of the day would be off track and we wouldn't get "everything" done :headache: Well it took me a few trips but I learned and have also since come to realize that although a plan is great you have to go with the flow. :thumbsup2 Things will happen, a ride will have difficulty, a FP machine may not be working or any number of things that will throw off the time table you have set for yourself. When this does happen, take a deep breath ;) and remember that like anything else Disney will end up being what you make it. No matter what your DS is going to love it and you are going to make wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.

I know your vacation will be awesome! Enjoy.

Sounds like us 15 years ago. Since buying DVC in '97, we tend to "chill" a lot easier. I find that the more expectations I have, the more I open myself up to disappointment. I just assume everything will go well, and it usually does.

The past 2 trips we haven't even gotten ADRs ahead of time! We just wing it and show up at the restaurants at what we know from experience to be easy times to get in. We waited less in the past two trips then we ever did with ADRs!:thumbsup2

This past March trip was the first time I just kind of let go of schedules. We had some dinner reservations and had a good idea of what parks we wanted to be at on what days. We changed it up quite a few days and DH laughed one morning because we were planning on going to HS and I didn't know that they had already opened because of EMH. So we switched it up and went to Epcot. The weather was horrible two days on the trip, so we had to move things around and the trip ended with 3 gorgeous days and lots of pool time - more than we had ever done. I say relax and let it go. I actually came back from this trip refreshed instead of tired. Have a great time!:goodvibes

I would say relax, breath...aaaahhhh.

You need to plan, have your ADR's, know what park for each day and then even if you are going to hop, etc. But then be ready when the plans fall apart. It doesn't go as planned and your ability to roll with it will make your vacation for you and your family even better.

Some of our best times are the ones that were not planned out and just happen.

Have a wonderful trip and let us know how it goes.

BTW, the best plan is to just go to the park that had EMH the day before! We find that park is always pretty open the next day, and we always think the crowds are manageable that way.

Have to say I agree with this, this is what we typically do and find the crowds to be manageable as well! :thumbsup2
