Hi everyone

Is there a direct on-line site to email DVC ?

We are planning a trip to WDW in June and I would like to tour DVC to get first hand information and enjoy the possibilities ~

Does the DVC ever offer incentives to take the tour or attend a presentation?

Thanking you in advance for any replies.

I don't know if you can sign up ahead of time, I'm sure you could, but I'm not sure who you'd call. But you can just make an appointment while you're there to take a tour, as well, there a kiosks at all four parks and pretty much every moderate or deluxe Disney hotel for the vacation club. They sometimes offer incentives, usually it's a few extra fastpasses or something, though I've heard of $10 meal vouchers, etc.

Just sign up at any DVC kiosk at any Disney park or resort. I recommend taking the tour either arrival day or last day before going home. I believe you can also call (407)566-3800 and make arangements for a guide to contact you and pre-arrange a tour while you are there.

Thank you DVC members for your support and replies
Its so helpful to those of us who are newbies and hopefuls !
Its a family I'd love to belong to - will update after we take a tour!

Enjoy the beautiful day ~

We did the tour our last trip 2-3 weeks ago. You make an appointment at any of the kiosks that are proliferating everywhere -- it won't be hard to find one. Don't bother trying to ask questions at the kiosk; you'll get far more details at the tour itself. Oh, and don't wait till your last day to make an appointment, because (astoundingly) they were all booked up the first time we tried to make an appointment, so we had to wait for the next day.

No major incentives. You can have some coffee / cookies / snacks while waiting to meet with your guide, and afterwards, you can have an ice cream sundae. They'll also take a digital picture of you and print it out as a a little souvenir. Finally, we got 2 meal vouchers usable at a lot of the park little eateries or snackbars in the on-site resort (we used ours at that nice BBQ joint in Animal Kingdom).

Although most people here have talked about how wonderfully low-pressure their guides were, we were not particularly thrilled with ours. Not quite a "hard sell", but a little bit of "you only have 3 days after your visit ends to take advantage of the incentive, so act now!" feeling. We also didn't agree with the math he tried to do on the spot to convince us how much we would "save" (then again, we like to crunch the numbers by ourselves.)

Still, seeing the SSR (and the BEAUTIFUL suites / grand villas) definitely convinced us to research DVC further, which is why we're currently pursuing a resale now.

Oh, and if you decide to purchase direct through Disney (rather than resale), they'll ask you if any DVC member referred you. If you give them a name, I think they will give a little bonus to the referring member (I believe it's on the order of waived maintenance fees for a year, or somesuch, and depends on whether the referrer is from a state that legally allows it).

Have fun, be astounded by the villas, and do lots of reading / research first!

Oh, and I guess I just noticed that you wrote:

On the tour, you'll only physically see SSR, not the other sites (except on video).

We were staying at the Wilderness Lodge, and a nice CM was willing to show us an unoccupied 2BR there.

Might be relevant if you are thinking of buying a resale because you prefer a "sold-out" resort site.
