DVC Home resort points

I vaguely remember that my DVC membership dictated that my home resort cost me less in points than other DVC members for whom it was not their home resort...am I imagining that? Since the points guide has no breakout for home resort points vs. non-home resort points, I am guessing that either changed or it was never a rule to start with...

Home resort preference is only for reservation time window not amount of points.

On the upside that doesn't hurt you, unless you were banking on more availability because of non-owners not wanting to shell out the points or something.
I do think that the limitations on revising the point chart might only apply to your home resort, particularly given that they don't have to let you stay at other resorts at all. In other words, DVC owners don't currently have to use more points to stay at a non-home resort, but I think there is some flexibility for that kind of system in the future. I doubt it would go that way though. It would be really confusing with so many people owning at multiple resorts and using a combination of points for one trip.
