Hi all!! I know, no one here has a crystal ball  but if you were to venture a guess, what would you think the points would be comparible to stay at DVC Hawaii when it opens? You thinks points would be comparible to say a Studio there, to a 2 bedroom MK view at BLT during Magic Season? Or you think that's guessing too high?

I'm hoping that the first year it opens, that the occupancy will be low enough that we can get in for a week, during low season (mid September) at the 7 month mark.

Anyone here when sells are going to start? I figure if it's suppose to be complete in 2011, maybe mid 2010?

I've heard and believe that Disney has announced a scheduled completion of the resort in 2011.

Most people expect Hawaii to be expensive.

I think they will be higher than BLT...more in line with GCH (which I think are WAY too high) and with fewer than 5 seasons just like at GCH. JMO... Oh, and from what I've read opening will be in LATE 2011... I try to keep tabs on THAT info. 'cuz we try to go to HI every 5 yrs and we'd be due in 2011...but also want to do another DCL in 2011 or 2012... So we will figure out from the DCL D23 Expo announcement this Friday what we're doing about DCL since we'll find out the itineraries and find out which ship is going to do what...

I think if you adjust for seasons (not as low in HI as Orlando) and for comparable views, you can use BLT as a guide. I doubt they'll be higher for a comparable view and season. Assume most of the year will be Premium or Magic. I suspect we'll have 2 or 3 views, Ocean Front, Ocean Side and Island view (would include standard view). It's possible just 2 though OV and IV. I doubt they'll be higher if you take that information into account.

You mention more availability early on and that's true, but likely not as much as you may think. DVC declares a resorts a few villas at a time and ONLY declared villas are available on points. So there may be minimal extra inventory early, it is very minimal. Still, I doubt you'll have trouble for Sept after the Holiday weekend has passed.
