:confused: How are DVC Guides assigned? I JUST closed on my resale and received my New Member Handbook in the mail. I immediately called to find out who my guide was. His name gave me a lot of "hope". I want to do an add on already!?!? I called him immediately because I want to add on for a sold out resort and know that I will probably be put on a wait list for my UY and points. He was not in, but called me back today. The message on my machine said that he would be out of touch until Sunday!!

Is there anyway I can talk to another guide just to make the initial request to see if what I want is available or to be put on a wait list? At least that way I will get my add on in motion. I am not trying to by pass my assigned guide, but I am really anxious to try and get these points so I can make my 11 month ressie in July. I know...wishful thinking but isn't that what Disney is all about.

If you're having an attack of "acute Addonitis" and can't wait until your guide returns, DVC will provide an "emergency substitute guide" to treat your "pain" :rotfl: . Just call them up today and ask for immediate "treatment":laughing: .

This happened to us on our first "attack"..............we were temporarily assigned another guide to handle our "Dis-nease"; he arranged for the "fix", we had our new home, and we were cured (but, alas, only temporarily..............since we never got vaccinated, we had a "flare-up" when AKV was announced!).

So if you're truly in agony, you don't have to be stoic..............that's what all those other guides are for...............R-E-L-I-E-F (aka, a DVC add-on)!:lmao:
