Are the items on the grocery lists generally available at the resort store? I am referring specifically to the eggs, milk and bread. I have some ordered with gardengrocer but I do not want to order too much. I was wondering if I'll be able to just pick it up at the resort store if I run out. We won't have a car and we're staying in a studio on the DDP. We are not buying enough groceries to even justify a cab to a grocery store. TIA!

What's on that list should be available in the store. There may be additional items available in the store that are not on the order form.

I did find the items that were on the list in the store at both AKV and SSR this past trip. They were the same price as on the list. It was interesting that the prices are not the same at each of the resorts. We were able to get a gallon of water at AKV but did not see any at SSR. For the few items we needed it did not pay to order from one of the delivery services. The one item that was the same at both stores was the beer which was either $5 or $5.75 a bottle. Needless to say we didn't buy much of that.

I compared prices to gardengrocer this past trip and was surprised to find them about the same at AKL. They really had a good selection and I would go that route next trip except I need distilled water for my son and they do not carry that, so it's gardengrocer for me.

I actually would prefer to order right from the DVC service, but I MUST have my Brown 'N Serve sausage! I nuke one for 45 seconds, cut it up and scramble it with an egg in my little round Ziploc container, nuke it another minute and put it on a toasted muffin with a slice of cheese...YUMMM!!! I also wanted some bananas, but not at the $1/each that DVC is charging. Of course, I have to use gardengrocer to get my Diet Pepsi MAX too. I just don't want to over-order and have waste, but I also do not want to find myself out of eggs( ), milk or bread.

Haven't even looked at the DVC order sheet, I just checked prices in the gift shop. I was sure I was going to run out of eggs too but didn't, instead on our last day we made everything we had left. Pizza for breakfast was yummy.;)

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is gardengrocer? :confused3 I have never heard of it and have only gone through the DVC grocery list in the past...it is nice to have options though!! :)

gardengrocer as well as wegoshop(sp) are 2 local sites you can go through to do your shopping and deliver goods to your resort you are staying at. Haven't used the latter but I understand they do some bargain shopping and shop for specific brands. You can check it out online and compare prices and brands.
