Does anyone have information on this membership? I've looked around and all I have found out is that the cost is $85 and is good for up to four golfers. We're going down this saturday and was wondering if this got you a better discount than an AP. p.s. Does anyone have preferancs on which courses to play. I usually shoot around 90. Thanks, Denny

DH buys one about every year. He has done the match and believes he gets his money worth even if he only uses it 5 or 6 times. Even if he's the only one golfing. On some trips (if we're not doing parks), I will golf with him.

I prefer Osprey and Eagle Pines. He likes those as well as Magnolia and Palm. He doesn't care for Lake Buena Vista as it is a little to closed in for him. I liked it though. It had great views of OKW. We haven't tried Celebration yet.

The golf discount depends upon the time of year. I don't have the info in front of me but I think there were three or four different price seasons. I remember paying $35 and $50 per round in two of the seasons. You can obtain the discounted price for all of the members in the foursome that you bring. The earliest tee time you can obtain (with the discount) is 10:00 am. You also can make reservations in advance of other players (won't apply if you are arriving on Saturday).

I'd recommend Osprey Ridge as the top choice.

Call 407-WDW-GOLF for more details about reservations and costs.

The membership is good for 1 year at a cost of $85 plus tax
At this time of year it is $50 plus tax for you and upto 3 guests....this is a 50% saving on the normal rate, so it pays for itself in just 1 game, for example 4 players $53 inc tak =$212 plus $90 for the badge inc tax =$302
if 4 of you payed the normal green fee total $424....I love all the disney courses but my favorite is Osprey

If I remember correctly, the DVC rates only apply for tee times after 10:00. The rates are: $35 for mid-May to the end of September, $50 for the end of September til early January, and $95 for early January until mid-May. It seems it was similar to Florida resident rates. DH liked Osprey Ridge the best, but he also recommended Eagle Pines as being less challenging than OR and very pretty. There's a real good website: www.wdwgolf.com which has all kinds of interesting info. Notice the Mickey head shaped practice green at Bonnet Creek.

no idea re: golf membership. but, DH & DB are planning on golfing once or twice while on vaca in Nov. They would prefer not to bring clubs with them as we are flying this time. We're just curious if anyone know how much it is to rent clubs. Assuming of course that that is even possible. Any info thanks.

I know it's possible, and that they're pretty good clubs. Can't remember the cost though-DH always brings his own.

I just made a couple of tee times for next week, and asked about club rental. They had two price options $55 and $45.

the ap discount is 30% off the daily rate...the dvc membership is much better...they rent top of the line clubs...all the courses are nice..Osprey is the best and most challenging...if you shot low 90's you will probably hit in the high 90's at osprey....eagle pines is nice and short and you can probably play closer to your game thier...score better or play the tougher course is your choice...have fun...i was suppose to play the palm this friday but i cancelled because my daughter is sick today and we are couped up in our room at the bwv..so i figured i better give up golf on friday so we can do what we missed today...

We are leaving Sunday for 11 nights, the first 5 will be spent golfing with friends. We purchased the DVC Golf Pass in September. My DH had a long conversation with the CMs at Bonnet Creek Pro Shop and they said hands down the best deal is the DVC pass. We also have APs. The tee times after 1000 are also correct. We have tee times for Dec. 6-10 and are playing at all the courses. It is currently $50/round. The pass looks just like the park passes in its own sleeve and must be brought with you just like a part pass. My DH played in September right after they installed the GPSs on the golf carts. He said it was great! :D

Sad day today. My 1st year round pass expires today. I'm sure I'll be getting another one in May when we go down next. Great deal and great courses.

I played Osprey two weeks ago and it's great. Each golf cart has a flat planel video screen that is hooked up to GPS. This screen shows you a picture of the hole, distances to the pin from your cart as well as the distances to the front of the green, back of the green, bunkers, water, and the golf carts that are in front of you! The display also gives you tips on how to play the hole and a quick read on the greens. What a help this is. If you know your distances with each club, you can really score. Eagle also has this service (it's included in your greens fee).
