If I buy my DVC Gold AP before our July trip, can I book Fast Pass even though the AP won't be activated until our July trip? Or do I have to buy when we get there? If I have to wait to purchase the AP's when we get there all the FP's will be gone since we are going over July 4th week.

Yes. You are already inside the 60 day FP+ booking window for a July 4th visit.

You will still need to stop at either a Park Ticket Window or Guest Relations Location to active the pass(es). You will need your blue DVC membership card and all adults (ages 18+) need a photo id showing the same address as the member.

I had the exact same question as you when I first got a DVC Gold AP. Will it activate when I select FP+? Or will it really wait till I get there. Everything worked out fine.
