DVC Gift In The Mail

We received the pin in the mail on Feb. 14th. I think these are being sent to all DVC members notwithstanding whether or not you brought a resale. We closed on our resale in October, 2000. The pin is very nice, my son took it back to school with him. I thought it was a nice touch by the disney folks!!

We just returned on Monday 2/19 from a vacation and found our gift in the mail. Part of our vacation was a day with family staying at the Wilderness Lodge Villas in a 2 bedroom. Folks, I am NOT impressed ... the living/kitchen area is so small, only one sofa (so who sits on the floor for tv?), a not overly large round "dining" table with 2 chairs. In the 2 queen bed room, I thought there was much wasted space where the sinks and closet are. The "master" suite is your basic jacuzzi/shower separation. I must say, however, that the decor is wonderful. Very warm, inviting and cozy. But my family was on the FIFTH floor, one elevator bank and you had to walk a real long way to the rooms at the back. So, I still feel the first is best - OKW is larger, lighter and easier to access and has that "home" feeling vs. "hotel" atmosphere. But, this is just my feeling. If you are going, I wish you a great time and enjoy!

We received the VWL pin a few days ago. What a nice surprise! We toured the villas in December and are looking forward to staying there someday!

I'm wondering--if this is intended as an advetisement to gets folks to buy more points at VWL, would it be subject to those rules that keep the Timeshare company out of a state until all the paperwork is done--and isn't NY the slowest?

We got our pin today. It's in a nice box with absolutly no advertising. I don't think it's designed to sell add-ons. If it is, it's not very direct...

Whether it's for advertising or not, I think it was a nice gesture. (Besides if it was for advertising purposes - the cost of pins, packaging and mailing would come out of their advertising budget. )
