Hi I have a question about the DVC free valet parking. We were just down at Disney and went to BC for dinner and were told by the valet that there was no more free valet parking for DVC guest. (MY DSIL protested and he said he would "fix it") we went in side and asked the DVC person at the sales desk and he said he thought it was free and then called some one and they said it was no more that the valet parking is not outsourced and they did away with it. Back at the room in the portable perks book we got at checking it is still listed as a perk til March?????? Does anyone know anything about this. I have tried to seach and can not find any info. Has anyone else had this problem or is this just someone trying to scam some money???? Thanks :goodvibes

Interesting, maybe I'm missing it, but I no longer see it listed as a perk on the member website.

I sent my parents to Boardwalk Villas last week for 2 nights and valet parking was definitely free. I also have the member website pulled up and it says "valet parking is complimentary at Disney's Boardwalk resort, Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Beach Club resort. Just show your Disney Vacation Club member ID card. Since my folks are not members but were staying as my guests, I called the front desk and they double-checked and said, "yes, DVC Guests get the complimentary valet as well".

Maybe the valet was trying to get away from the word "free" as it implies no cost. And there is a cost, the cost of the gratuity which I don't doubt some people might overlook.

Where did you find it on the website?

Chuck,
On the Website click on:
1. Just for Members, then
2. Member Perks, then
3. Walt Disney World Resort, then
4. Walt Disney World Annual Pass Savings and More Disney Magic, then
5. Savings on More Disney Magic and...
6. All the way at the bottom is "Valet Parking at the Walt Disney World Resort".

Hope they don't do away with it!

Thanks.

Found it. It is also under the individual resorts, under Resort Services.

No he was trying to charge him $10...... but then was going to "fix it" after my Son in law confronted him.
I didn't think there was a change but then the DVC guide inside said something about outsoursing and I figured I missed something but usually that kind of thing pops up imediatley on this board, maybe a clue of things to come after March??????:confused3

I was in WDW in December and January. I had dinner each vacation at the Grand Floridian. When I showed my DVC membership card, I was given free valet parking! I naturally assumed that our benefit had increased, not decreased.
