I don't know why this concept confuses me so much! I think I have to read up on this.

December UY start on December 1st and end on November 30th. Therefore if you buy before November 30th you get the “current” UY’s points.

Last November if you bought a December UY you got the 2020 points (current year) and then on December 1st 2021, you got your usual points. The reason people call it “double points” is because the 2020 points come without any dues and the 2021 points come with only having to pay pro-rated dues which is 1/12 of the regular dues.

Thanks for explaining this, now it all makes sense. No wonder there were so many people who jumped on the Aulani deal last year.
