DVC Flag pins...

Does anyone know when these were supposedly sent out to DVC members?

We were at WDW the week following 9/11 and this was the hottest (and hardest to find) piun on property. We finally stumbled across some at the DL General store. They had just gotten a shipment from the warehouse, and we got the last two left. They sold 45 pins in less than 10 mins.

DW and I wore them the rest of that week, and everywhere we went, people were asking where we got them and offering to buy them.

We never got our pins either. After hearing about them here on DIS we called Member Services and asked about them and why we didn't get any. They basically implied that they were lost in the mail and they would not send out any additional ones so we were out of luck..
