DVC-First Night-Traditions

Our first night traditions have changed over the years, pre DVC we would check into our resort and unpack and then go to MK to watch the MK fireworks and then fight the crowds to get a bus back to our resort. Post DVC we now check into BWV, unpack and then take a nice leisurely stroll over to Epcot where we either eat at R&C or in the Matsunoma Lounge in Japan and watch the TOD parade and Illuminations and then we take the beautiful, leisurely stroll back to our BWV where we enjoy the boardwalk and the nighttime entertainment and we get an ice cream cone at Seashore Sweets and sit at an outside table or on the rockers on the main porch and we just enjoy life and our good fortune to be at WDW.

We stay at another resort other than our home(BWV) the first 2 nights. We arrive on Fridays. This Dec we are staying in a studio at the BCV for Fri and Sat night, we use the weekend to relax , enjoy the resort, ride surrey bikes, etc. We drive so we like to relax a little before hitting the parks. On Sunday we checkin to the BWV usually in either a 1 or 2 bedroom, unpack and hit the parks first thing Monday mornimg. One more thing we watch the Disney parks channel obcessively over the weekend, my DH thinks were NUTS but that lets me know I'm really at DIsney!!!

We always turn on the DVC sales channel while we unpack. I have the sales loop memorized. We usually start and end our trips with that channel. Just confirms the great decision we made by purchasing.
