DVC events/meetings on DCL for post-4/4/16 members

Did a search & couldn't find anything relevant. I am not talking about a member cruise as I know it's for direct purchase or pre-4/4/16 resale members. I was wondering if any post-4/4/16 members have been on a DCL cruise recently and attended one of those events/meetings. I have read over on the DCL forum that DVD sometimes give out goodies (ie: lanyards, pins, hats, etc.) to members on a DCL cruise, but I am not sure if post-4/4/16 members are excluded. TIA.

Oh, so those are essentially sales presentations? Why would they invite existing DVC members to more sales presentations? So that they can add on more DVC points?

Well, it is also an opportunity to talk about DVC news, there are usually games with prizes, drinks, and a drawing for at least $100 shipboard credit. It's a laid back experience and a diversion. Also, they encourage you to talk to non DVC cruisers. There are other presentations for non DVC owners later in the cruise.

They do present the latest offer for points.

Exactly! I attended a non member presentation and the sales person putting on the show asked me a couple of questions, I replied that we were owners and you could tell that the CM's were thinking that I would blow their presentation. I had a hard time keeping my mouth shut when they brought up half truths.

I have attended many presentations, both for members and non. I've been on 19 DCL cruises so far. I have never heard anything I could disagree with.

Most of the discussions with members is how you've used your Membership and who have added on. "Who has been to Aulani" is a question that gets many positive responses.
