DVC dues watch 2023

According to the condo notice, the 2023 estimated dues assessment includes estimated annual operating budget, estimated annual capital reserves budget and estimated ad valorem taxes.

I really hope you are correct and we do get a credit but won't hold my breath.

The property tax actual amount is determined during November/Dec each year.

We pay the estimated one to start and when final numbers come in, they will credit, or add, depending.

So, the actual 2023 taxes won’t be known until November/Dec 2023….

If there is a credit for what we have paid for 2022, we should know in the next month and it will be applied to your account to reduce the total amount owed. If they are higher, then they will add a one time charge to the total for owners to pay.

Yes, I understand all that.

It's just my opinion that taxes estimated rarely go down.

Other than a few times since I have..almost 14 years.. owned, we have seen a credit.

So, credits have happened more often than not.

This is my recollection, also (but could be wrong, I suppose. I don't really keep track, LOL) We've owned since 1999.
I don't keep track either, lol! That's why I used the word 'opinion' instead of experience. It just 'feels like' they always go up!

I've owned since 2000, 22 years this month, and I'm just back from another great trip. Will be going again for a late January into early February trip.

The property taxes do go up every year. DVC just tends to overestimate how much LOL.
