Per PamOKW:

Vero is a little tricky because they provided different levels of subsidy depending upon how early you purchased. I think all subsidies have now ended with the only possible exception being those who purchase right at the opening of the resort.

In the other thread some posters had OKW at 3.14 for 1996. I checked my paperwork and the correct figure is 2.99

If anyone has any of the missing numbers, I can put it into the chart.

Looking at the dues in this chart format made me curious. The subsidized amount for Vero, averaged over the last 7 years, comes out to $3.10. I know some people love to speak out about the deceit of DVC selling Vero and not telling people about the high dues. For those who purchased in the early "deceitful" years, the dues were actually lower than any other DVC. Now, they have risen (as was detailed in all the paperwork) but are not unreasonably higher than the newer DVC's.

I think you miss my point. Its not that they don't tell them about the high dues, its that they lie about the history.

I have heard a guide say(lie), "Sure, VB dues are the highest now, but they were lowest once and dues change every year"

That is an out and out decietful lie.

VB dues were lowest because of a subsidy, not because of expected variables in operating costs. The subsidy ended when the project was slashed because of non-interest in VB.

THey used many decietful and fraudulant methods and lies to sell VB. Lying by ommission about the dues is just one small one.

Gee, it sure looks to me like the VB dues were lowest from 1997-2001 and were second lowest in 2002. At first glance it looks like VB has had the highest dues for ....let's see... ONE year.

I guess I just don't understand all of the complexities involved with plain facts. So ... the VB members actually have had to pay more all along?? Boy, will they be upset when they find out about that. :rolleyes:
