I purchased four DVC Discounted PAPs back in November. Two were adult, and two were child passes. My son is 6, and my daughter is 9. We had planned to activate the passes on a March trip before my daughter turned 10.

Now we have changed our plans and we will not be activating the passes until July, when my daughter will already be 10, and thus, technically should have an adult pass.

There was no difference in the cost of the adult and child pass when I purchased.

Should I worry about upgrading (?) the pass to an adult pass, or can I just activate it and use it for my daughter?

Good question. Might want to call MS about it. It shouldn't matter as they were the same price. We also bought 2 of each but a few years away from age 10 still. I know they CAN ask for birth certificates when trying to skirt the age 3 policy for a park ticket, but in this case I feel like a phone call or even a conversation when activating them should resolve it since there was/is no difference in price. I would call now so that there is no question when you arrive. The only issue I see is when you book the room you list her as 10 but activate the pass as 9. Not sure they would be connected in any way, but better safe than have a problem.

I don't see what the big deal would be, they are the same price.

I don't see there would be a problem...but that brings up a good question...why would they even differentiate at this point. I think they should just call it a ticket.

They don't have children's APs or PAPs anymore. Its all one price and one pass so it doesn't matter.

There are separate tickets for Ages 3-9 and for Ages 10+ even though the prices are the same. The Child tickets do not require a finger scan at the turnstiles while those Age 10+ do require the scan.

For the OP, just let the person in the booth who is issuing the tickets know and it can be taken care of when the tickets are issued.

On the website they still ask about ages and label them as child and adult. I actually checked last night for some reason.
