DVC discount on cash ressies?

So I'm out of points and am thinking of a last minute weekend trip to WDW (yeah I was just there 2 weeks ago, but I want to go back! LOL!!).

I've never done a cash ressie before. How much is the DVC member discount? Is it only on DVC resorts or any WDW resort? Do I call MS to reserve?

Sorry for all the questions, but I've been on the member website for the past 20 minutes and haven't been able to find the answer! (I'm also at work with many eavesdropping coworkers, so I don't want to call MS and ask, and have my nosy coworkers know that I'm going for another weekend trip! LOL!!).

It's a 25% discount off of the rack rates at DVC resorts only and yes, you call MS to book. It's subject to availability and you may not get to be too picky about where you stay IF at this date there's anything open. We've done it twice - but I called at 5 months and 10 months. Available inventory changes daily.

If you have an AP call CRO also. Many times the discount available with the AP is better than the DVC discount and is available at the non DVC resorts as well.

We did this a few weeks ago. I am also a FL resident. Our Fl residnet at AKL was $300 Our DVC rate was $225.

If you belong to AAA, you may want to check on that rate as well. The more options you have, the better.

or just book it on the disney website for a better deal the studios at SSR & OKW are $164
