DVC Discount on AP

I was looking at buying AP's through the DVC website for my wife and two daughters and was wondering if I can also buy two for the grandparents. The site says that a proof of DVC membership (and valid photo ID) must be presented...does the room key that says DVC member on it count?

I just bought one on our last trip, and you need to show your membership card. I don't think you can get the discount for the grandparents as I believe all parties must live in the same house. HTH.

If the photo ID shows the same address as the owner, then yes. If the grandparents don't live with you, then no, you cannot get them discounted APs.

In fact, when I had to renew my DVC discounted AP last month, I left my DVC blue member card on the dresser in my room. So, the CM at the International Gateway GS asked for my license, which I had, and then called MS herself to get my member number. They had to talk to me on the phone, for security purposes, before giving out the number! So, it would be safe to assume that you would have to have member cards for any adults you are buying APs for.

I have a question too. My DS is in the service and currently stationed in Germany (but deployed in Afghanistan). He maintains our address as his place of residency. Would he qualify? We are taking he and his wife in February and I would love to get them AP's.

If your son and DIL have photo Dshowing the same address as you, then yes, you can purchase APs for them. Both you and your son should be together when you activate the passes, so they can compare addresses on your IDs. Be sure to have your member card with you.
