DVC Discount increase on Saturday?

That's us too - bought new AP's and a new TIW card 2 weeks ago AND to beat that our very next trip starts on January 3rd!!! So had we known we COULD have used the parksaver hopper tix on our shorter Sept. trip instead of upgrading to AP's and then bought new AP's in January and then we would have had until Feb. 2018 on them!! SOOO disappointed on all counts!!!!!! Just glad we didn't go overboard buying pins & shirts & jewelry & watches for 10% off rather than 20%.

Ugh! I feel for you. We bought our last APs just a couple of weeks before they started the tiered ones with Memory Maker and felt like you did. The "up" is that we got ours at the old price.

This time it is working out better for us. Our APs expired 21 days ago and we can renew at the renewal price for the next 9 days and have them be good until Oct 10 2017....BUT are planning a trip with family in Nov 2017. Grrrr.

Looks like we will be buying new and activating sometime in 2017. Just hope they don't raise the price before Jan 3.

Am I the only pessimist who thought "Nice benefits! Now, watch Disney raise APs dramatically...again"? The mouse gives with one paw and claws back with the other.

I was happy to get my PAP last year just before tiers and dramatic price increases. And I was happy to only pay about $60 more to renew to a DVC Gold pass this fall when I upgraded a 5-day hopper because I got the Photopass pics for that trip. I'm a little disappointed about the 13-month APs that I'm going to miss out on but I'm consoling myself by telling myself that prices are probably going to be raised tomorrow.

My guess is those that purchased after 4/4 will not be eligible, as you would have to present the blue membership card to receive the discount as you would now for the 10%.

For those that already bought TIW and are regretting it, I don't think you wasted money at all. Most of the MK places aren't included on the new discount plan (BOG, CRT, etc.).

Isn't tables in wonderland still a better deal then the 10% off (very few of our restaurants are included in the 20% mainly quick service)? Obviously it takes you much longer to hit the $150 initially purchase but if you spend a lot on dining TIW would still be better right?

Grin - we bought a new TIW card TODAY - 10/3/2016.

Why? Because that load of cute stuff for the 45th is a load of cute, meaningless stuff .
Restricted Restaurants.
Restricted offerings.
Restricted, restricted, restricted.... and we don't need it.

Of far GREATER value - we don't see TIW or AP price hikes. Now THAT is a gift. WDW? Please, don't screw this up.

I think if you eat the signature TS places and do TS daily especially with drinks it is a good deal to get TIW. However, if you don't do one of every day of trip or drink cocktails at meals.....I don't think it is good unless you have a large party on your trips.

You can buy the AP online - it says 13 months on the web site. They just won't apply it if you bought it literally 5 seconds prior to October 2. I asked if they'd give me the extra month (because it would really hurt their bottom line, you know...)

My profile correctly states my DVC affiliation but no discount is applied at checkout.

I bought resale in 2014 (and got a blue card) so I'm grandfathered. But the app isn't helping me.

Do you also have AP? Resale or direct from Disney?

So, we have some contracts bought from Disney direct. We arrive in the evening, not planning to activate our AP vouchers until the next day. If we purchase our resort mugs on that first night, does DVC only give us 10% off? Meaning that if we wait until the following day we get 20% off with AP's?
