DVC Dining Plan Question

Can someone please tell when I need to sign up for the dining plan by, before my reservation starts? Thanks

You must sign up and pay at least 48 hours before arrival.

We added ours about 72 hours before we arrived at it was good to go when we checked in.

Per the DVC member website: "Note that a dining plan must be added to your Upcoming Vacation at least 48 hours prior to your check-in date."
