This may be the stupid question of the day, but could you pay cash for the DVC cruise or only use points?

This is only a guess but considering that DCL is already booking cruises through 2004, whatever date is selected as the DVC cruise will already have people booked for it who are paying cash. Therefore there will be cash rooms available on the ship. Now whether you allowed to take part in the DVC festivities, I don't know. Maybe someone who was on the last cruise would know.

I don't think that was the question being asked, Happy Birthday Cat. As I remember, you were able to book the Member Cruise through MS using exclusively cash rather than points. As to the other issue, those cash paying passengers that were previously booked on the cruise that was to become the Member Cruise did not sail with the DVC cruise. They were offered incentives, as I recall, due to having to change their cruise date. Does someone have better information?

Is there another DVC Cruise planned for next year? DJ

our guide said dcl had a blast with the dcv members and made alot of money on that cruise that the dcl are asking when can they start planning the next cruise, that the dcl cant wait the next cruise. so, my guess is that they are going to plan the next cruise if that havent already. thats why i had posted before ??? about the points and how in advance did they offer the cruise.
lets keep our mickeys ears crossed!:) :)

Yes the people who had pre-booked the same date as the DVC Cruise were asked to re-schedule and I believe given incentives. As for paying cash, yes you could pay cash based on the DVC price not the Cruiseline price. I seem to remember the cash price was a little steep.
