DVC Christian Owners

I have been interestingly surprised at how many of the DVC owners in my area are Christians and many are pastors. My pastor just did a whole month on Disney and how you can find God in Disney movies. Just wondering how many of us are DVC owners. May could even start a group.

Ok, I try not to give out a lot of personal info over the internet, but...my name is ... We are Christians - Baptist to be more specific. I'm actually more of a Methodist, but that is a long story. Those Baptist like everybody to be Baptist.

We also have a Sheltie dog named Sam. I'm not sure what he is. We are pretty sure that he is not pentacostal because he doesn't heel.

I'm a catholic and our church does a tripto Disney every summer for parish familiesinthe religeous education program, not free but pretty cheap. We love Disney!!

I'm a Methodist pastor. I love my Catholic and Baptist Brothers and Sisters. And like DisDayDreamer, I'm probably described as stupid sometimes too. It must be a Methodist thing.

Disney is a great escape from the realities of ministry: Troubled marriages, troubled teens, sickness, death, church conflict (I know you Baptist don't have this problem ), and many others seem to disappear when on stage at Disney. After all, "There's a great BIG beautiful tomorrow...)

I am Frank, an Episcopalian, and my partner John is a Catholic. He wasn't too happy when they stopped saying Mass at the Polynesian on Sundays. He hates missing church while on vacation, and loved being able to worship when at WDW in our DVC.

Disney Vacation Christians.....

We are Episcopalians and we Love Our Lord. A minute without God is not worth having.

We are Lutheran, and our faith drives our choices and preferences. We love Walt Disney World because it is fun, beautiful and has something for all ages (I have 7 grandkids). Like others, I appreciate the friendly atmosphere and values of good manners and respect for all people. I also love the Candlelight Processional where we can acknowledge the "reason for the season."

Me, and our priest and litugy director as well as our music director all love Disney too.

At our church, DH and I seem to be the main Disney fanatics. Of course, it's an older congregation. Most of the members have grown grandkids so we're actually on the young side (and I"m 50!)

We like Disney for the escape factor, too. CM's are nice almost always, even when all of the fellow guests aren't. But even the guests seem nicer to me than most other places.

We love our DVC and the chance that it gives us to take family members with us on vacation. That's one of the biggest benefits for us.
