DVC Chit Chat Thread

We're going in June as well. It will be our first time staying at our OG home resort, SSR! Since we're travelling with our toddler, we're not planning too much in advance other than a 40th birthday dinner for my wife at Ohana and a character breakfast at Chef Mickey's. We're going to see how the weather is before committing to a park day or 2. If the heat and humidity are too much, we'll just enjoy the resort (and air conditioned spaces lol). However, we're hoping that the mornings are tolerable enough to do a MK day and an Epcot day for at least for a few hours each.

We totally avoid summer months at Disney so the hottest we’ve ever been there was May but it was super hot, way hotter than we expected. Those little hand held fans plus avoiding the parks during mid day heat saved us. We’ve gone the past few Januarys and had super cold weather, like gloves and coat cold. The best weather we’ve had was in Novembers, not too cold and not too hot. But we’re doing January again this coming year, hoping it’s not too cold!

We got lucky with our January trip. We were there just after new years and the weather was perfect! We even got a couple of pool days in. When we got home we saw that the weather had dropped to freezing temps. Crazy!

Until the Tuesday after MLK where it was amazingly warm for another week (high 70’s/hit 80 several days), then got cold the next week (high in 50’s). You just never know in January and February what type of week you will get

We are #teamJune this year too.

June 14-20 specifically. Went end of may last two years, don't expect it to be much different weather wise. Hot but not completely awful. From TN so used to hot and humid summer weather, granted FL is on another level.

Y'all are giving me WDW FOMO! But we're doing DCL to Alaska in May, DL in June to see the 70th entertainment one more time (🎶When Can We Do This Again🎵), and the DVC Member Cruise to Northern Europe in September... And we did WDW twice last year (July and December).

So I really shouldn't borrow points... I told DH no WDW until late 2027... 😬 Must stick to the plan... 😅

Heading home after our long awaited mommy/daughter trip! Split between BWV (perfect for coming back after MM at HS) an BRV (I think it’s a one and done for us…we had a great time but I swear we got a total reject room lol). Many priceless moments this week.

Which room were you in at BRV and what was wrong with it? Our first stay there we were in a studio on the first floor and it had some issues.

This shoe is life changing for the parks. Waterproof, not a flip flop, and it has those bumps in the arches so you don’t get planter fasciitis. 👍
Do those buckles actually adjust? I have narrow bony feet and slides are usually not my friend.

That’d what the Swolphin is for!

This is torture! My dashboard finally says……180 days to go. 😩 it’s.just.so.long! I hope those of you going this summer have the very very best time and I expect fun reports on this thread.

I'm going to try to remember to post random pics for people to guess the location of while I'm at Disneyland this summer. I know most people here are more familiar with WDW but I'll throw some obvious ones in there too. 😆

When they announced BTMRR and Soarin’ dates, I had a bad case of fomo. So I bought the otu and borrowed my way into a stay at BLT in June. I’m pumped😂 🎢✨🏰

There’s also an update on the Milennium Falcon🛸 which I forgot all about. Now I might have to make time for that. MK at night is my current favorite, so BLT is the best choice even though I had a great price on a room at pofq with the AP discount.
This is how I always end up going against my better judgment and booking a summer trip! WDW adds so many great things around Memorial Day!
