DVC Checkout ?

I have rented points for 5 days in Sept. We will be checking out of OKW on Friday morning and switching to another Disney hotel for the weekend. My question is what is involved with checking out of a DVC? I plan to have Disney transfer my bags, but what I am wondering what else I will need to do. We have an early PS and don't know how much time we need to allow for checking out.

It depends how you set things up. If you leave a credit card and ask for express check-out you don't need to do anything. The bill should be left on your doorknob. It's nice if you give the front desk or housekeeping notice that you are leaving but it's not necessary. In fact, if you don't charge to the room or make any phone calls, there won't be any bill

If you want to review your bill or aren't paying with a credit card, you will have to go to the front desk and settle up the bill. Once again, if you haven't made any charges there won't be any need to do that.

Just saw that you'll have Disney transfer your bags. You'll either have to bring your bags to the bellstand or allow time to have them come pick them up from your room. I'm not sure about the details of that service. I always have a car and just put them in the trunk if I'm changing resorts.
