DVC Cash Reservation Timeframe

When is the earliest I can get a cash reservation through Member Services? I called this morning to ask and got "I think it's at seven months out" as the response. I was hoping for something more definitive. Does anyone know for sure?

I am unaware of any time constraint on cash reservations. Perhaps you should call MS and ask for a supervisor if you can't get a difinitive answer.

If you can't make cash reservations through MS, try CRO. You won't be able to get your member discount trhough CRO, but you can get AP, and DC discounts.

Since Member cash reservations (with the discount) come from the member inventory, they are NOT available until MS is reasonably certain that the room is not needed for a point reservation.

At some times, this might mean 7 months (actually, I would expect it to be 6 months), at others not until 2 months and at other times not at all. In a few cases it could also mean 11 months (HH in mid Jan?)

The first priority is to reserve the rooms using points. Any availability beyond points reservation would be open for a cash reservation.
