DVC bookings in more than one season

When a DVC booking falls in more than one season do they adjust the points accordingly or do they base the amount needed on the day the reservation starts?

each day is counted in the season that it falls. We did this with a Christmas into New Year and had both the highest number of points for some days and the lowest for others.
