Dvc Book ??

Hi
Am I the only one who didnt received the new dvc book planner ??
I did call , and even emailed a request still my planner is nowhere to be seen
I am a bit dissapointed as a new member I think this is not very professional from Dvc ....What else should I do ?

You are not alone. Their is quite a few people that have not received their planner yet...including us. We live in Calgary hope to see it before 08 is over

I am getting ready to join tomorrow, what should I expect to receive besides a planner? Are there any goodies or a welcome pack? I hope these items are standard and dont have to be asked for.

We still have not received our planner yet. I called member services about 2 weeks ago and still have not seen anything yet. We just joined DVC in 11/07 so I wonder if they have not gotten around to sending them out to new members yet.

We joined early Jan 08 and haven't received our planner either. I called MS on Valentines day and asked they put in a request to send me another (per their instructions the previous week). Still nothing yet, but I'm afraid it could taked another 4-5 weeks from my second request date...

Even though most of the info is online, I am disappointed. They must have had a snafu at the printer, I can't believe they would be this behind in sending out something crucial to the membership...

I'm sorry, but this to me seems like bad PR. To me there's no excuse. It's Disney, not some Ma and Pop store down on the corner.

Here in Scotland, we have not received ours yet either. I emailed a couple of weeks ago to be told that our address didn't appear to be correct. Strange, as everything else has managed to get here.

A new order was placed by MS and I should receive my planner in 6-8 weeks!

I don't have mine either. I also never got the book that spells out DVC regulations, etc. I bought resale, so I kind of understand. I did get my membership cards and promotional ads. I called my guide and he said he'd send the stuff out. I did get my Disney Files!

I'm in a similar situation. I called at the end of Jan to check and see if it should have arrived and the CM at MS said they would send a new one.

Well, it's March now and I have yet to see the planner. I did get the Disney Files magazine, though.

UPDATE: Just got off the phone with MS and the CM said that the planners are shipped in batches once a certain number of requests come in and that it could take 3 to 4 weeks.

I didn't bother to tell her that end of January to beginning of March > 3 to 4 weeks.

I haven't received mine either and I am really annoyed! I'm a new member (joined in 07) but with 300 points, I think I deserve to be treated better than this. I have put in two calls and an email and can't believe I still don't have it!

I have 2! I got 1 with my first information packet. Its a blue hardbound book. Then when we joined they sent the paperwork, a box with our copy of paperwork, another planner (flimsy), lots of information, a magazine and the DVC bag.

Is this the same planner others aren't getting? I have to say I like the one we were sent thats blue and hardback. Its *much* nicer than the one that came with the DVC package.

We have been told a few times they are "running behind" on paperwork. Maybe this is just more of them being behind?

I believe the softcopy one you received is the 'official' planner, but it probably was last years (mine was and I joined Jan 08) Check the dates to see if it says 2007-2008 or 2008-2009. Still waiting for the 2009 planner... The hardcopy is more of a marketing book, but also includes some of the same info: point charts, etc.

I received mine. It always has a card from our original guide. So perhaps the discrepancy in who receives theirs when has to do with how quickly the guides get them out.

If you're missing yours, I'd call your guide rather than Member Services. (I'm sure s/he'd love the opportunity to tell you all about the latest deals at SSR and AKV while s/he has you on the phone.)

On our first trip after purchasing, we stopped in at the sales center to introduce ourselves to our guide. We did a phone purchase, so we'd never met him in person. While we were there, he gave us a beautiful hard-bound copy of the latest (at that time) planner. I don't know if it was the same one that was mailed to members that year, or something special. He knew what he was doing in giving it to us, though. Between family and both our offices, that book's probably been looked at by 50 people so far.

Both of mine say 08-09. I do believe the soft copy is the official "planner". Such a shame the hard back one is much nicer!

I bet if you all called your "Guide" they will get you your books faster than calling member services.

When I did an add-on two weeks ago, I told my guide I never got the book. No surprise that the guide quickly sent me the paperwork for the add-on, but still no planner.
