I was wondering there are any promotions for going on the DVC tour. I am going to Disney August 23rd and I have never gone on the tour and sat through the presentation. I could not do it before because we were not in the position to buy. My husband and I are now interested. I was hoping there might be an incentive this time.

They'll offer ice cream sometimes. They used to offer FastPasses before FP+. They might still offer some sort of FOTL pass for one attraction. Other than that, nothing.

At one time, they were offering Disney GCs if you did a phone tour, but you had to be referred by a DVC member to get it. I haven't seen that offer in a couple of years.

if you are really interested, you are most likely better off spending a few months hitting the DVC boards here on the DIS pretty hard and then buying resale. too many people get confused by the disney salespeople (many are good but a few will spin the truth pretty thin to get you to buy). you get much better and more complete information here.

but if you are determined to do the official tour, you can check with a DVC kiosk when you get there to see if there are any gift cards or FPs being offered to go on the tour.

We got an e-mail last Oct after booking our March trip (2nd trip) about taking a phone tour with DVC. We had no intention of buying - isn't a good fit for us. Spent about 10 minutes on the phone & got a $25 gift card. There was no member referral involved. So it still exists, just much less than the $50 gift card they were offering at one time.

I got the $25 phone tour then two weeks before we left I got a pin for a $50 GC with open house tour. We got ice cream after and a gift card if we would have been going to a park that day we would have gotten fast passes. When we used the gift card I almost fell over when the CM told me the balance. We got $100 GC. This was two weeks ago.

We attended the DVC presentation while sailing on the Fantasy in 2012. They put everyone's name in a hat and pull out a name to win $300 onboard credit. We won!
We didn't know any better at the time so we spent it on massages & facials, which we normally would never do. Hindsight is 20/20 and now I know they sell Disney gift cards onboard so I'd buy a gift card and apply it to a future trip.
We've attended presentations on cruises since then but haven't won again.

I also did the phone tour for $25 gift card IIRC and the Aulani video tour for $40 gift card.

We went last August and we each got 3 FP+ loaded to our MB that we could use in any park and any ride (minus 7DMT & A&E). They also gave us a $50 gift card and free ice cream.
