DVC BLT Commerical Shoot

We were at BLT last Wednesday and they were shooting footage for a DVC commercial. I tried to take some pictures without getting in the way. I wanted to get some shots of Casey the DVC actress from WDW TV and the DVD but she was busy working on her lines.

We had that same view of the pool when we stayed in a lakeview 1 BR unit when BLT first opened.

Not our favorite resort due to the theming, lack of services, and premium points required to stay there. Views can be nice, upper floors, BL or MK view. Having the resort locked down requiring your room key everywhere is a hassle. The lounge is not bringing in the expected numbers. According to the manager that I spoke with, if attendance doesn't improve, Disney will re-think the lounge.

The lounge is not bringing in the expected numbers. According to the manager that I spoke with, if attendance doesn't improve, Disney will re-think the lounge.

I hope this doesn't happen until AFTER our October visit. The lounge sounds like the best part of BLT to me!

I imagine that "re-think" would mean "open to the public, or at least to all DVC members" in this case - the lounge is gorgeous; I can't see them closing it outright.

they wouldn't just close it outright...they'd find a way to make more money off it.

i think there used to be a lounge at the BWV that was open for DVC members only. it's used by disney for private functions now...

I wonder what the lounge numbers will like once the resort is sold out. I personally hope they keep the lounge private for owners only at least until I get a chance to see it next summer.

I would seriously hope they would wait at least until the resort is sold out and see how things go for a year or so.

I can't imagine them opening changing one of the key selling points of BLT; it's exclusivity. But Disney doesn't many things I can't imagine. Fingers crossed that they take a good amount of time with any decision on changing the exclusivity of the lounge!

This is totally OT, but it has been bugging me. Could you let someone know who posts the listings at TSS that it is Bay Lake Tower, not Bay Lake Towers (plural). Sorry, I'm OCD about stuff like this
